Which System should you get? We recommend the Deluxe System with Deluxe Ultralight Receiver (RF-3006V) for any dog or cat that is 8 pounds or over. With five levels of programmable correction, this is our most versatile and advanced receiver. You can increase or decrease the correction to meet your pet''s training needs. At level five, the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver is strong enough for the most stubborn dog. The Deluxe Ultralight Receiver also has a low battery indicator light to let you know when to replace the battery. If your dog is 8 pounds or over and trains easily, you may want the Deluxe System with Ultralight Receiver (RF-3004V). The Ultralight has only one level of correction and does not have the low battery indicator light. Less than 1% of dogs need the Stubborn Dog Receiver. If your dog is over 30 pounds and is extremely stubborn or hard to train you may need the Deluxe System with Stubborn Dog Receiver (RF-3005V). The Stubborn Dog Receiver has only one level of correction that is approximately three times stronger than the Ultralight Receiver. How do I prevent one dog from chewing on the collar of another dog? If you see one dog chewing on the other dog''s collar - pull him off and redirect him to "sit" and "stay". Also, a daily spraying of Lysol on the dog''s collar will help repel the other dog. Technical Questions asked by our customers How many feet of wire can the deluxe system handle? The Deluxe system can handle up to 4600 feet of wire. How do I keep the signal out of the back yard? On your layout of the wire you will need to do a double loop in the front yard, this is where you run a wire twice in the front yard, this way there is no wire in the back. How do I twist one wire together to cancel the signal In order to cancel the signal you MUST close your continuous loop, then twist the two ends of the wire together. It must be twisted 8 to 10 twists per foot. This is best achieved by using a drill or cordless screwdriver. Can I use a different size other than the 18-gauge wire for the boundary? Yes, as long as you use a solid or stranded wire that is an 18, 16, or 14 gauge.
